All protective measures are explained in our Risk Assessment.
If there are more than 5 cases linked to the original case we will be referring to our
Outbreak Management Plan for SCCN Aut 2021 v1
Nov 2021 -Government guidance has been updated due to a new variant. Please wear a face mask if entering the building. Visits will be limited during this time. All LA visitors are required to do a Lateral Flow before attending.
This flow chart explains what to do if you have tested positive with the new variant and update to government guidance from December 2021
If your child presents with any of the covid symptoms, which are:
- A high temperature
- New continuous cough
- Loss of taste or smell
They will not be able to attend Nursery. You will need to Book a Test
If they become unwell whilst at Nursery and display any symptoms we will ask you to come and collect your child immediately.
If you need to tell us about your child or report a positive case please use this email address covid@sccn.rbksch.org
They will need to isolate whilst they wait for the result
If your child has a positive result they MUST isolate for 10 days even if they seem well.
Your child may return if they receive negative PCR test result. Or after 2 x negative lateral flow tests on day 6 and 7 if this isn’t possible to do or they are still positive they must continue to isolate for the full 10 days
Children under 18 do not have to isolate if they have been a close contact with someone with Covid-19. Government guidance suggests that all close contacts who are vaccinated and under 18’s must do daily lateral flow tests for 7 days.
you can order Lateral flow tests online or collect from school office or a local chemist.

With children starting to return to school we recommend that if your child or anyone else in the household develops any symptoms of Coronavirus it is essential you get a test and follow the governments guidance regarding letting others know you may have been in contact with TEST and TRACE
If there are more than 5 cases in a 14 day period it is considered an outbreak- our plan could mean a short closure. School will follow the advice from Public health in this instance and keep parents/guardians informed. This may also be due to staff levels if too many people are off sick. Early years have strict ratios to follow.
Latest information about Critical workers
If you think you are a critical worker please let us know so we can plan for your child if we have any closures.
